Each event will go from 12:00pm until 4:00pm and will feature exclusive tasting of newly released wines, Chef Henry’s snacks and peek at the production side of our business. We will be hosting the event in the Winery building. The Sokol Blosser winemaking facility was one of the first in the state of Oregon and offers a glimpse behind the scenes at our winemaking processes. Please dress warmly as the space can be chilly this time of year.

1970 was winding down when our founders, Bill Blosser & Susan Sokol Blosser, pulled their ‘68 VW Camper up to an abandoned prune orchard, some 30 miles southwest of Portland, Oregon in the Dundee Hills. These moonstruck kids had little farming experience and just a basic knowledge of winemaking. What they did have, in abundance, was a passion for growing the Pinot Noir grape and creating world-class wine. Soon after settling on this extraordinary land, they planted their first vines in 1971 and cinched their place as pioneers in what is now the epicenter of the Oregon wine industry.

With the second generation now at the helm, siblings Alex (Winemaker and Co-President) and Alison (CEO and Co-President) continue their parents’ ‘good to the earth’ policy. A certified B Corp, Sokol Blosser Winery believes in practicing sustainability across its whole business. Examples include the winery’s certified organic 85 planted acres, LEED-certified underground barrel cellar and support for the well-being of its employees and community.

Our Tasting Room is open daily from 10am - 4pm and is located at 5000 Sokol Blosser Lane, Dayton, OR 97114. For more information visit www.sokolblosser.com or email us at info@sokolblosser.com.
